Abdoul Ouattara ruled out of the Ivory Coast U23 national team for the international break
The RC Strasbourg defender will be unable to answer head coach Doumbia Mamadou’s call-up due to injury.
The Ivory Coast U23 national team will not be able to count on Abdoul Ouattara for their two friendly matches against Morocco on 26 and 30 March 2026 in Rabat. The player is injured and will remain at his club to recover.
His withdrawal was confirmed on Tuesday 24 March 2026 by the Ivorian Football Federation. However, the nature of Abdoul Ouattara’s injury has not been disclosed. This announcement comes as manager Doumbia Mamadou and his squad officially began their training camp on Monday 23 March in Morocco. The Ivorian manager had called up 23 players for the international break, but with Ouattara’s withdrawal, he now has only 22 players at his disposal.
