This will be a modern and highly comfortable stadium.

Details: Today it was announced that Manchester United has officially approved Trafford Council's bid to host matches of the Women's World Cup, which will take place in 2035.

Manchester United's chief operating officer, Collette Roche, stated that they will begin a complete reconstruction of the current Old Trafford to modernize the stadium and add more seats for fans:

"Our goal is to build a new 100,000-seat stadium, suitable for hosting the world's biggest international football matches. This will be part of a broader redevelopment of the area around Old Trafford, bringing massive benefits to the local community, Greater Manchester, and the surrounding regions," said Collette Roche.

There are also plans to build several new entertainment and business centers near Old Trafford. An initial £26 million tranche has already been allocated from the budget for the stadium's redevelopment.

Old Trafford has been Manchester United's home ground since 1910, with a current capacity of 74,310 seats.
