"A team without a face" – Abhinav Mukund slams Lucknow Super Giants for lack of strategy and bizarre selection
Former India batsman Abhinav Mukund delivered a scathing critique of the Lucknow Super Giants' management and team structure following their defeat to the Delhi Capitals.
Details: Speaking live on ESPNCricinfo, the expert pointed out that, unlike other young franchises, LSG still lack a clear identity.
"I am very unsure about Lucknow. Take Gujarat Titans, for example—they're gradually building their identity, and you know what to expect from them. With Lucknow, you always get the sense that there's no unity or recognizable style within the team," Mukund stated.

The main criticism is that LSG's successes are not built on a system, but rather on individual flashes of brilliance. Mukund noted that the team relies too heavily on sudden standout performances from stars—like Mark Wood's five-wicket haul—instead of displaying a structured team game.
He also expressed confusion about the team balance in the match against Delhi: Lucknow fielded seven batsmen and only four bowlers, which led to them losing control when Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs launched their decisive 119-run partnership.
