A swap deal is brewing. Chelsea sets sights on Real Madrid star

Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso is determined to keep midfielder Enzo Fernandez at the club, despite growing interest from Real Madrid, reports journalist Miguel Serrano.

According to sources, the Spanish manager is opposed to the potential transfer of the Argentine to the Spanish giants and is eager to retain one of his key midfield assets. However, Chelsea are not ruling out such a scenario. Should Fernandez move on, the London club would seek a player of similar caliber and profile, with Real Madrid's midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni considered the leading candidate to fill the void.

Thus, a potential transfer of Enzo Fernandez to Madrid could be directly linked to the future of the French midfielder. If Real Madrid makes a move for the World Cup winner, Chelsea is expected to insist on including Tchouaméni in the deal as compensation for losing one of their main stars.
