According to sources, the Spanish manager is opposed to the potential transfer of the Argentine to the Spanish giants and is eager to retain one of his key midfield assets. However, Chelsea are not ruling out such a scenario. Should Fernandez move on, the London club would seek a player of similar caliber and profile, with Real Madrid's midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni considered the leading candidate to fill the void.
