Former Real Madrid icon Marcelo might be making a return to European football, but the name of the club reportedly interested in him comes as a surprise.
Details: According to El Gol Digital, the 36-year-old Brazilian left-back is considering signing with La Liga newcomers Leganés.
The move to Leganés appeals to Marcelo because the town is essentially a suburb of Madrid. The Brazilian is said to miss Spain's capital, where he spent the most glorious years of his career.
After 13 matchdays in La Liga, Leganés sit in 14th place with 14 points.
Reminder: Marcelo's last club was Fluminense, where he started his career. He left the Brazilian side as a free agent following a dispute with head coach Mano Menezes.
