A surprise from the president! DR Congo fan receives an unexpected gift

A DR Congo national team fan, who passionately supported his country at every match of the Africa Cup of Nations, received a truly unexpected gift.

Details: Lumumba Vea, a devoted supporter of the DR Congo national team who dressed up as the renowned Congolese minister Patrice Lumumba during games, was presented with a surprise gift from the country’s president.

The fan was awarded a brand-new car, most likely in recognition of his contribution to raising the profile of DR Congo football. In addition, the president will meet with Vea to discuss his achievements during the tournament.

For the record, in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations, DR Congo lost to Algeria and exited the tournament.
