A sudden duo? Arbeloa responds to whether he’ll join José Mourinho’s staff

Arbeloa has no intention of returning as an assistant coach.

Details: Current Real Madrid head coach Álvaro Arbeloa answered a journalist’s question about whether he would agree to join José Mourinho’s coaching staff if offered the chance.

Arbeloa acknowledged Mourinho as a phenomenal coach, but made it clear he has no plans to work with him at Real:

“I won’t stay on the coaching staff under the next manager.

José Mourinho has a fantastic staff, he’s surrounded by great professionals. If he comes, he’ll bring his own people, as it should be.

There’s absolutely no chance I’ll work with him.” — Arbeloa stated.

Previously, several reputable media outlets reported that after Arbeloa’s departure, the legendary José Mourinho is set to become Real Madrid’s new head coach.
