Mbappé’s brace not only propelled the French national team to the 2026 World Cup, but also etched his name in the annals of French football history once again.

Details: In yesterday’s Matchday 5 of the 2026 World Cup qualifying group stage, France demolished Ukraine, with the 26-year-old Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé netting a double.

This victory secured “Les Bleus” a spot at the 2026 World Cup, and Mbappé himself reached the remarkable milestone of 400 goals at just 26 years old.

Mbappé also became the first French national team player in 34 years to score in six consecutive matches. The last to achieve a similar feat was Jean-Pierre Papin, who netted in seven straight games back in 1991.

This season, Mbappé has 28 goals in 20 matches for club and country.

Reminder: France national team qualifies for the 2026 World Cup!
