A step from disaster: Joint NFL practice nearly ends in tragedy
An intense joint practice between two NFL teams erupted into chaos, featuring mass brawls and the emergency evacuation of a player.
Details: According to Daily Mail Sport, New York Jets defender Quantes Stiggers was rushed to the hospital by ambulance after collapsing on the sideline at the end of the joint session with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Players from both teams immediately surrounded the fallen athlete, taking a knee in prayer as medical personnel administered first aid and set up an IV drip right on the field.
The joint training session ahead of preseason preparations was highly charged: three separate brawls broke out on the field. The first altercation occurred during individual pass-rush drills when Tampa Bay Buccaneers lineman Luke Goedeke began taunting New York Jets rookie David Bailey. After Bailey struck his opponent's helmet, the situation escalated into a full-blown scuffle.
A similar incident unfolded during team drills between the Buccaneers' offense and the Jets' defense, when a pass from quarterback Baker Mayfield was intercepted by Jaryus Monroe, sparking another major melee on the field.
Fortunately, Stiggers is now fully conscious and out of danger.
