The Citizens have big plans for Pierce.
Details: Today, on their official X social media page, Manchester City announced the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday.
According to reports, the young shot-stopper has penned a five-year contract with the Citizens, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031. The transfer fee is believed to be €3.5 million.

Immediately following the completion of the transfer, the club outlined their plans for the player. Charles will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, who compete in the Championship.
Manchester City are confident that regular first-team action in England’s second tier will help the young keeper gain valuable experience and prepare him for the battle for a place in City's starting lineup in the future.
Last season, Pierce featured in 21 matches for Sheffield Wednesday, conceding 41 goals and keeping 2 clean sheets. According to Transfermarkt, the young goalkeeper’s market value stands at €900,000.
