Real Madrid's start to the new season has been mixed, with the club currently sitting in second place in La Liga. However, it seems the atmosphere within the squad is far from ideal.
Details: According to Marca, one of the team's leaders, Jude Bellingham, is deeply dissatisfied with his current role.
The Englishman is concerned that, with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, he is no longer the main star of Real Madrid. Last season, Bellingham played as the focal point of the attack, scoring frequently, but after Mbappé’s transfer, the Frenchman has taken over the central forward position, while Bellingham is now operating in a deeper role.
Last season, Bellingham netted 23 goals across all competitions, finishing as Real Madrid’s top scorer. However, this season, he has yet to score and has only registered two assists.
Bellingham is unhappy with this situation and plans to discuss it with Carlo Ancelotti.
Reminder: In the Champions League, Real Madrid has earned just three points from their first two matches. They suffered a shocking 0-1 defeat to Lille in the second round, having previously beaten Stuttgart 3-1.
Tomorrow, on October 22, Real Madrid will host Borussia Dortmund in the third round, a rematch of the 2023/24 Champions League final.
