A return to Serie A getting closer? Roma preparing a major move for Liverpool winger

Roma are showing maximum determination in their efforts to sign Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Details: According to Calciomercato, the Wolves' hierarchy see the 29-year-old Italian as a priority addition to their attack and intend to complete the move at the beginning of next year. Liverpool will not stand in the way of the deal and are ready to let the player leave if a financially acceptable offer arrives.

The Italy international is extremely keen to return to his homeland and is prepared to accept a substantial pay cut to ensure that an agreement with the Stadio Olimpico outfit is successfully reached. The parties are already holding preliminary talks, discussing the optimal structure of the transfer fee.

It is worth noting that Federico Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in Turin in the summer of 2024, but he has failed to establish himself as a regular starter for the Merseyside club in the English Premier League.
