Liam Rosenior found himself at the center of a major controversy after the Ligue 1 matchday 5 clash between Paris FC and Strasbourg. The capital club secured a 2-1 victory, but the main talking point after the final whistle was the English coach's antics.

Rosenior, who previously managed Strasbourg, headed straight toward the section housing his former team's supporters and began celebrating the victory passionately in front of them. The gesture immediately provoked a reaction from the fans. Several Strasbourg players made their way toward the coach, sparking a scuffle between the two sides. Rosenior had to be pulled away by the players and security staff.

Rosenior's relationship with Strasbourg and its supporters has been tense for some time. During the match, the visiting fans repeatedly insulted the coach, who left the club in 2025 and moved to Chelsea. After an unsuccessful spell at the English club, Rosenior returned to France and took charge of Paris FC.

As a result, the victory over his former team was especially emotional for the coach. But the celebrations nearly boiled over into a serious confrontation.

A small section of the Strasbourg crowd insulted my family. I wanted to send a message. I insist, it wasn't all of the supporters, but only a small section. I don't want to talk about it anymore, the coach said after the match.
