A replacement for Trent. Liverpool finalizing Frimpong transfer


Liverpool has swiftly identified a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who left for Real Madrid on a free transfer. Bayer Leverkusen's right-back Jeremie Frimpong is set to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours ahead of signing his contract, according to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg.
It was previously reported that all details of the transfer have already been agreed upon by both clubs and the player himself. The Reds will pay €40 million for the 23-year-old, with a contract set for five years.
The official announcement is expected after the end of the current season. For reference, the 24-year-old Dutchman is a Manchester City academy graduate and has scored 5 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances for Bayer this season.
