In the Spanish city of Barcelona, the prestigious ATP 500 clay court tournament is coming to a close. Today, April 20th, following the semifinal matches, two finalists have emerged, who will take to the court tomorrow.

The third seed, Casper Ruud, broke the resistance of Argentinean Etcheverry in two hours (7:6, 6:4) to advance to his second consecutive final. It's worth noting that last week, the Norwegian lost to Tsitsipas in the decisive match of the Monte Carlo tournament.

Stefanos also had a chance to reach the final for the second time in a row, but his match against Dusan Lajovic could have ended in an upset. In the first set, the players were unwilling to give up their serve, but they didn't reach a tiebreak. Tsitsipas struggled with nerves on his serve at 5:6 and conceded the set to his opponent. In the second set, Tsitsipas tipped the scales in his favor, and Lajovic had little energy left for the deciding set.

Interestingly, Tsitsipas and Ruud played in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters just a week ago. The Greek confidently defeated his opponent with a score of 6:1, 6:4. This will be their seventh encounter, with the head-to-head currently tied at 3:3. The final match in Barcelona will take place tomorrow, April 21st.
