In a German Regional League match, Plauen hosted Lokomotive Leipzig, but the game ended unpleasantly for one key figure – the referee.

Details: According to Bild, after the final whistle, the head referee had to be escorted out by security. In addition to verbal abuse, various objects were thrown at referee Lars Albert. He described the level of hatred he faced as unprecedented.

Quote: "I’ve been doing this for several years. You develop a thick skin and can handle a few profane words or the occasional empty beer cup thrown from the stands. But the aggression and hatred we encountered from fans perched atop the fence – that’s something I’ve rarely experienced to this extent. It makes you think, even a day later," he stated.

Lars Albert also acknowledged a mistake he made during the game. He referred to the second red card issued to Plauen's Erik Träger during stoppage time. According to Albert, it should have been a yellow card, not a dismissal.

Additionally, the referee expressed his decision to no longer officiate matches involving this club.

Quote: "I will no longer referee WFC’s matches this season. I think it makes sense to avoid assigning me to their games," concluded Lars Albert.

Reminder: Recently, the captain of the Peru national team criticized a referee for paying excessive attention to Lionel Messi. Forty-year-old footballer Paolo Guerrero stated that match official Wilmar Roldán was overly lenient toward Messi.
