A record-breaking deal in the works. Real and Vinicius close to agreement

Despite numerous reports suggesting a deal is already in place, Vinicius Junior and Real Madrid have yet to reach a final agreement on a contract extension. This was reported by Diario Sport.
According to the source, the Brazilian is insisting on becoming the highest-paid player in the squad—overtaking both Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham in salary. In response, the club has offered a new contract running until 2030, with an annual salary of €20 million, totaling €100 million over five years.
The ball is now in Vinicius's court—Real's management expects his decision before the start of the 2025/26 season. The Brazilian's current deal runs until 2027, but the club is eager to avoid a scenario where the player enters the final year or so of his contract.
