Details: According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester United are preparing an opening bid for Wolverhampton's 18-year-old attacking talent, Mateus Mané. Liverpool are also closely monitoring the situation around one of Wolves' brightest prospects.
Wolverhampton are reluctant to let go of one of their top young assets and value Mané at around £35 million. For Manchester United, this could be a move to get ahead of the competition before the battle for the player turns into a full-blown auction war.
Liverpool have not made any official moves yet, but are keeping the 18-year-old attacker firmly in their sights. The interest from two Premier League giants only ramps up the pressure on Wolverhampton, who will find it increasingly difficult to hold onto their starlet if a serious offer comes in.
