A rare scene in German football. Schalke fans stage a unique display during Nürnberg match

In the matchday 16 fixture of the 2. Bundesliga, Schalke hosted Nürnberg. The clash in Gelsenkirchen ended with a narrow 1-0 victory for the home side.

Yet the real highlight of the game was not the result, but the electrifying fan performance in the stands. The friendship between the supporters of both clubs has been well-known since the late 20th century, and their excellent relationship was once again on full display at the Veltins-Arena.

In the Schalke fan section, the Gelsenkirchen club’s crest first appeared, only to be swiftly replaced by the Nürnberg emblem—an impressive visual tribute.
