A promising step for Al Hussein Rahimi towards emulating his brother Sofiane Rahimi’s success
Al Hussein Rahimi, the young brother of Moroccan star Sofiane Rahimi, has been handed his first call up to the Morocco national team for local players under coach Tarik Sektioui. Raja Casablanca confirmed the selection on its official social media, stating that defender Bouchaib El Arassi and goalkeeper Mehdi El Harrar were also invited.
The call-up is perhaps a marker of the beginning of a career path that might be likened to his sibling, Sofiane, who first rose to prominence at the 2020 CHAN competition when Morocco was declared the winner, and he took home top scorer honors. Morocco is already qualified to take part in the 2025 CHAN from February 1-28 throughout Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
This showcase piece of skill initiated Sofiane's transfer to Al Ain in the UAE, along with a senior national team role. Should Al-Hussein dazzle at this coming tournament, he may very well be positioned to follow in his brother's footsteps toward international acclaim.
