A poor scouting report has scrapped the Barcelona transfer

Barcelona were ready to sign Almeria midfielder Dion Lopy in the winter transfer window, but the move failed to materialise.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the fault was a poor scouting report on the player. Although Lopy was recognised as a quality player for the Primera level, but after a survey of the player's previous clubs, it became known that his maturity level for Barcelona was questionable.

Another factor was the price. The midfielder was claimed by Eintracht Frankfurt, who made an offer of 15 million euros, which Almeria rejected. In Barcelona's current financial situation, it was difficult to beat that offer.

Despite this, the Catalans continue to monitor the player and are ready to return to sign him in the summer.
