Great news has emerged from Madrid for Real Madrid fans on the eve of the New Year.
Details: Experienced central defender David Alaba has officially resumed training with the main group.
Alaba has missed the entirety of 2024 due to a cruciate ligament injury sustained in the winter of 2023.
It is expected that Alaba will make his return in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Mallorca on January 9. However, there is a chance he could play earlier, on January 6, against Deportivo Minera in the Copa del Rey.
In total, Alaba has played 102 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 5 goals and providing 9 assists.
Reminder: Earlier today, it was reported that Real Madrid's young forward Endrick suffered an injury and may miss upcoming matches.
