The management of Spanish side Barcelona is seriously considering the possibility that Marcus Rashford will not sign a permanent contract with the team.
Details: According to Diario Sport, Marcus Rashford's career could be taking an unexpected turn. It seemed certain that the player would put pen to paper on a full contract and remain in Barcelona, but recently the situation has changed dramatically.
Everything indicates that the 28-year-old Englishman will return to Manchester United, where his contract runs until 2028, and will try to cement his place in Michael Carrick's squad. The player himself is not opposed to this development.
As for Barcelona, despite their strong interest in making the move permanent, the Catalan club has recently cooled on the idea. And although Rashford's top priority was indeed to stay with the Blaugrana, the club's management believes his contract demands are simply too high.
This season, Rashford has made 43 appearances (2,300 minutes) across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the forward is valued at 40 million euros.
