The legendary Los Angeles Lakers basketball player LeBron James continues to etch his name into NBA history.

Details: Last night, the 40-year-old basketball star ascended to third place all-time in NBA regular season wins.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New York Knicks in overtime with a score of 113:109, and LeBron achieved a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds.

This victory marked the 1002nd in James's regular season career. He surpassed the legendary Tony Parker, who has one less win. Ahead of LeBron are only Robert Parish (1014) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1074).

Reminder: Previously, LeBron became the first in history to surpass the 50,000-point mark in the NBA.
