The England national team could be facing squad issues ahead of the World Cup playoffs. Head coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that defender Jarell Quansah picked up an injury during the final group stage match against Panama (2-0).
The player was forced to leave the pitch early in the second half after a collision with Panama striker Jose Luis Rodriguez. The defender left the field visibly limping, and the initial diagnosis points to an ankle injury.
Of course, I'm concerned about our situation with right-backs. We've got another injury in that position. We're hoping both Reece James and Jarell Quansah can recover as soon as possible, but in any case, we'll have to look for solutions,

According to preliminary reports, Quansah is at risk of missing the round of 16 clash against DR Congo. If scans confirm a first-degree ankle ligament sprain, the defender could return to action in one to two weeks. A more serious injury could put his further participation in the World Cup in jeopardy.
