"A new era": Dillian Whyte to face Joe Joyce

While the upcoming clash between Joseph Parker and Daniel Dubois is drawing attention, another high-profile heavyweight bout has now been confirmed.

Details: DAZN has officially announced that Dillian Whyte will face Joe Joyce on April 5. Whyte is currently on a three-fight winning streak, with his last defeat coming in 2022 against Tyson Fury.

As for Joyce, he lost his most recent bout via unanimous decision to Derek Chisora. He has won just one of his last four fights.

Notably, the undercard of the Whyte vs. Joyce fight will feature a heavyweight showdown between British boxer Lawrence Okolie (20-1, 15 KOs) and Richard Riakporhe (17-1, 13 KOs).

Reminder: Earlier, promoter Frank Warren expressed hope that the heavyweight legend would retire after his 50th bout.
