Pato isn't ready to walk away from football just yet.
Details: According to the BBC, 36-year-old former Brazilian footballer Alexandre Pato is among the group of executives interested in purchasing Colchester United.
On Saturday, Pato landed in England to attend a match featuring his potential future club against Fleetwood Town, accompanied by current owner Robbie Cowling.

At this point, no official documents have been signed between Cowling and Pato, but negotiations are ongoing.
Robbie Cowling himself told the BBC that he is in no rush to sell the club, but would consider it if the prospective owner is wealthier than he is:
"We have several interested parties. We're not interested in people unless they have enough wealth to take the club to a much higher level than I can," Cowling stated.
Currently, Colchester United sits eighth in League Two.
Alexandre Pato retired from professional football at the start of 2025. His last club was São Paulo in Brazil. Throughout his career, Pato featured for the likes of Internacional, Milan, Corinthians, São Paulo, Villarreal, Tianjin, and Orlando.
