Former Milan striker and club legend Andriy Shevchenko may take the reins at the Rossoneri, as reported by journalist Nicolò Schira.

According to sources, certain intermediaries have proposed to the leadership of the Italian club to appoint Andriy Shevchenko as the head coach. It is suggested that the Ukrainian would lead Milan until June 2024. However, the current leadership of the Rossoneri is not entirely convinced whether to take such a step.

It's worth noting that the contract of Milan's current coach, Stefano Pioli, is valid until 2025. In the previous UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday, November 28, the Rossoneri suffered a 1-3 defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Andriy Shevchenko made his Serie A debut in August 1999 in a match against Lecce. In his very first season, he became the top scorer of Serie A, netting 24 goals in 32 league games, outshining prolific strikers like Batistuta (23 goals) and Crespo (22 goals).

In total, Shevchenko played 322 matches for Milan and scored 175 goals. With the Italian club, he won Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the Coppa Italia, and the Supercoppa Italiana.
