Cristiano Ronaldo, accompanied by his wife Georgina Rodriguez and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, visited the White House, where they met with U.S. President Donald Trump and other influential figures.
Ronaldo also had the chance to meet Trump’s 19-year-old son, Barron. Donald Trump himself expressed how proud he was to introduce his son to a football superstar like Ronaldo:
"This room is filled with the world’s greatest leaders—business, sports…" Trump said. "My son is a huge Ronaldo fan... Barron had the opportunity to meet him, and I think he now respects his father a little more—just because I made the introduction. So I just want to thank you both for being here." Trump remarked during the event.
