The 21-year-old Algerian international may not play again in 2026.

The start of the season had, however, looked promising for the young Algerian. In five Ligue 1 matches, he scored three goals and provided two assists, confirming his importance to his club’s line-up.

But his ankle injury has put a brake on his progress. The midfielder is set to undergo surgery. On Thursday, at a press conference, Le Mans manager Patrick Videira had already expressed his concern about the player’s situation.

It was decided that surgery was necessary to prevent a possible relapse. According to reports, Adil Bourabaa is expected to be sidelined for around three months.

If this recovery period is confirmed, the Algerian midfielder could miss the entirety of the end of 2026. This is a real setback for the 21-year-old, who had made a particularly promising start to the season.
