On Friday, December 5, Bastia and Red Star met in a Matchday 16 fixture in Ligue 2, but the game was never completed due to fan misconduct.

Details: In the 56th minute, a Red Star player was struck by a flare. The referee initially halted play, then ordered both teams to return to the tunnel and their dressing rooms. The match was never resumed. The referee abandoned it with the score at 0–0.

Quote: “The rule is clear: when a flare hits a player and he cannot continue, the final decision is that the match is stopped and will not restart,” L’Équipe relayed from the referee’s explanation.

Reminder: The Belgian Pro League fixture of Matchday 14 between Dender and Waregem was set to take place, but the kick-off has been delayed.
