A letter of apology from Mahmoud Abdelmonem to the fans of Al-Ahly

Mahmoud Abdel Moneim sent a letter of apology to the fans of his Ahly team after the torrent of criticism he received from the Ahly fans after the tension of relations between them.

The crisis between the fans of the team and the player began after the match, in which Al-Ahly won over the Moroccan CR Belouizdad with a score of 6-1, after the end of the match, the player asked his colleagues to go to the dressing room without going to greet the fans, which provoked the anger of the fans on social networking sites.

The accusations were also after the player missed a penalty kick in the match against Mexico's Pachuca, for the title of the Challenge Cup 2024, within the Confederations Cup competitions for clubs in Qatar.

"The audience is the pleasure of football and its most important elements, and the Al-Ahly audience is my biggest supporter and my relationship with him is great, and they also have a great asset, “the Al-Ahly audience is always the number one player and the one who is credited after Allah, Our Lord always makes him a support for me and I apologize for any misunderstanding or misinterpretation” Mahmoud Abdel Moneim said.
