A key player for Tottenham will miss the remainder of the season due to injury
Tottenham has suffered a significant blow in the battle for a top-four spot in the Premier League this season.
Left-back Destiny Udogie will no longer feature in the current campaign due to injury, as announced by the player himself on his Instagram page, alongside a photo from the hospital ward.
The 21-year-old Italian emerged from Verona's youth ranks and has been with Tottenham since last August. He became a regular starter only this season after a year-long loan spell at Udinese.
In the current campaign, the Italian national team player (with 3 caps) has played 30 matches across all competitions for Tottenham, scoring two goals and providing three assists, accumulating a total of 2,578 minutes on the pitch.
Tottenham currently sits in fifth place in the Premier League, engaged in a fierce battle with Aston Villa for the fourth spot. On April 28, the London side will face Arsenal in the North London derby.
