A huge blow for CSK. Sanju Samson unexpectedly withdraws from IPL 2026 playoffs
The worst nightmare for the Chennai Super Kings management and fans has struck at the most inopportune moment.
Details: According to Abhishek Malhotra from Revyaz Sports, one of the team’s key leaders and top batsmen, Sanju Samson, will officially miss all remaining IPL 2026 playoff matches due to personal reasons.
A loss of this magnitude right before the decisive battles for the championship title was unimaginable. Samson was heavily relied upon for the crucial knockout clashes—he was supposed to anchor the upper order of the franchise’s batting lineup.
Reports indicate that his sudden and urgent decision to leave the squad has caused serious panic and emotional strain within the Chennai training camp.
Reminder: Rahul Dravid is set to take charge of the Chennai Super Kings.
