A historic breakthrough for Indian football! Indian specialist joins Bayern’s coaching staff

Indian football is taking a bold step onto Europe’s elite stage.

Details: 37-year-old Indian specialist Clyde Dias has been appointed to the structure of German giants Bayern Munich. The coach from Goa, who holds the prestigious UEFA A License, has joined the famous Bayern Campus academy complex.

At the Munich club, Dias will focus on nurturing and refining the skills of promising young footballers, helping them make the journey from the youth teams to the first-team level. The program is aimed at deepening their technical development and integrating emerging talents into the system of a top Bundesliga club.

Clyde Dias moved to Germany back in 2016 and has since built up considerable experience in youth football, managing the U19 team in the Talentprojekt / DFI Bad Aibling project, as well as working at the Munich Football School and Kirchheimer. Before moving to Europe, the coach worked in his native Goa, developing talents under the guidance of legendary Brazilian Zico.

It is worth noting that Dias’s appointment has become a landmark event for India’s entire football community, as specialists from the country are extremely rarely given opportunities within the coaching structures of European giants. It is worth recalling that Bayern’s first team is currently managed by Belgian coach Vincent Kompany, while the club’s academy remains one of the key talent providers for European football.
