Manchester United defender Harry Maguire brought Christmas cheer to one of his youngest and most resilient fans, reports The Sun. The footballer visited 10-year-old Tony Hudgell, who had both legs amputated below the knees at the age of four.

Harry came bearing gifts, including a signed Manchester United ball, a team calendar, and other memorabilia. Tony's adoptive mother shared that her son was ecstatic about meeting his idol, describing the moment as truly uplifting.

Tony is currently in the hospital recovering from surgery for a hip fracture. His story is one of incredible resilience. As an infant, he suffered severe abuse at the hands of his biological parents, leading to multiple fractures in his legs. A delay in seeking medical help caused sepsis and multiple organ failure, ultimately resulting in the amputation of his legs.

The boy’s biological parents were sentenced to 10 years in prison for their heinous actions. Tony has since found a loving adoptive family who provide him with the care and support he needs.

Maguire’s visit not only brightened Tony’s day but also highlighted the importance of acts of kindness, especially during the holiday season.
