On Tuesday, January 13, the EFL Cup semi-final takes place, with Newcastle hosting Manchester City, and already in the first half an unwelcome incident occurred for the home side.

Details: Towards the end of the first half, winger Jacob Murphy picked up an injury. After an examination by the medical staff, the decision was made to withdraw the player from the match. Harvey Barnes came on to replace Murphy.

It is worth noting that Murphy had missed the previous match due to injury, managed to recover in time for this semi-final, but unfortunately was forced to leave the pitch early.

Reminder: In the matchday 21 fixture of the English Premier League, Newcastle claimed a sensational 4–3 victory over Leeds United. Harvey Barnes scored the winning goal in the 90+12th minute, rewriting Premier League history.
