Lionel Messi could fulfill his final footballing dream.

Details: According to ESPN America, the South American football confederation CONMEBOL has shown interest in bringing CONCACAF clubs back into South America's premier club competition. The driving forces behind this initiative are the leaders of CONMEBOL and co-owner of the American club David Beckham.

The plan is to guarantee Inter Miami a spot in the 2027 tournament as a special invited guest. The main goal for the organizers is to give Lionel Messi a chance to play in the Copa Libertadores before he retires. It's expected that by then, Luis Suarez and Neymar will also be representing the American side.

CONMEBOL and David Beckham are determined to do everything possible to make this historic event a reality.

It's worth noting that the reputable portal Transfermarkt currently values the Argentine striker at 18 million euros.
