A good cause. Argentina to play friendly match in support of flood victims
Recently, Argentina experienced a severe flood, and the national team responded to the tragedy by organizing a charity friendly match.
Details: Argentina's team leader Lautaro Martinez noted that this is a challenging time and thanked everyone who found the opportunity to donate funds to help people who lost their homes.
Quote: "This is a difficult period. About a year ago, we went through a storm, and the city was in a dire state. Recovering in such timeframes and overcoming even greater difficulties is incredibly tough. I am grateful to everyone who took the time and contributed to help those who lost their homes," he stated.
A few weeks ago, on March 7, 2025, the city of Bahía Blanca was hit by a devastating flood that claimed the lives of 16 people. A fundraiser was organized in Argentina for the victims. All proceeds will be donated to the Penna Hospital, which was severely affected and is in a crisis state after the disaster.
The main Argentina squad will play against the U-20 team. This match will take place on March 22 in Bahía Blanca.
Reminder: The Argentine Football Association announced Lionel Scaloni's final squad for the upcoming matches, and there was no place for Lionel Messi. The legendary Inter Miami forward is out of the lineup due to muscle discomfort.
