A funny incident: an Estonian athlete performed a comical pole vault

A funny incident occurred in the decathlon at the Olympic Games. Estonian decathlete Karel Tilga became a social media star after his performance at the 2024 Olympics. The 26-year-old native of Tartu executed a pole vault attempt poorly, sparking numerous jokes online.
When his turn came, Tilga couldn't find the right angle. He took off, but instead of clearing the bar, he "hung" on the pole. After hanging for a bit, the Estonian fell in the opposite direction — onto the track.
However, the 26-year-old athlete managed to achieve better results in other events, finishing 11th overall in the decathlon out of 20 athletes.
A video of the incident was posted with the caption: "I'm no expert in pole vaulting, but I don't think it's supposed to go like this."
