A friendly match between Senegal and Peru next March
The match is scheduled to be played in Paris, France.
Pending official confirmation from the Senegalese Football Federation, the Senegalese press reports that an agreement is in place between the two federations to hold this friendly match during the international break in March 2026.
For the Lions of Teranga, this match is part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup, which will be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer. The Senegalese team will take advantage of this FIFA window to fine-tune its strategy before the start of the world tournament.
However, Peru, Senegal's opponent next March, has not qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals. During the international break next March, the African champions are expected to play two friendly matches.
In Group I of the 2026 World Cup, Senegal is placed alongside France, Norway and another team that will emerge from the intercontinental play-offs scheduled for March 2026.
