A friendly match between Benin and Argentina is on the cards during the upcoming international break
The Cheetahs are set to travel to Buenos Aires following the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Benin and Argentina. The Cheetahs will travel to Argentina for this international friendly. The match is expected to take place on 6 October in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For the time being, the two football associations have not officially confirmed the match. However, sources claim that an agreement is in place for this international friendly to go ahead.
Should this information be confirmed, Benin will be the second African nation that Argentina faces during the upcoming international break. Before taking on the Cheetahs, the Albiceleste will face Burkina Faso on 3 October in an international friendly in Buenos Aires.
Benin will travel to Argentina after having played their first two matches in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Cheetahs will kick off their qualifying campaign with an away match against Burkina Faso on 25 September at the Stade du 04 Août in Ouagadougou on the first matchday. Four days later, the Cheetahs will face Mauritania on matchday two.
