The former heavyweight world champion, Evander Holyfield, has named his favored contender in a potential matchup between Joshua and Wilder, as reported by Boxing Social.

Holyfield believes that the American, Wilder, would prevail against the British boxer in a face-to-face encounter.

"I believe Wilder will emerge victorious, leveraging his powerful punch and Joshua's style. Joshua tends to leave himself open, and when you're exposed, Deontay can capitalize with his right hand," opines Holyfield.

Eddie Hearn, the promoter of former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs), has disclosed details about the recent negotiations for a bout involving his client and Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs). This information was shared on Twitter by Michael Benson.

It's worth noting that after two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua engaged in two subsequent bouts. Initially, he secured a unanimous decision victory against Jermaine Franklin, followed by a knockout triumph over Robert Helenius.

Deontay Wilder boasts a professional record of 46 fights (43 victories, 1 draw, and 2 losses). His most recent match took place on October 15 of the previous year, where he knocked out Robert Helenius in the first round.
