A former French national team footballer has been jailed for a year. All because of his family
As a seemingly cheerful Patrice Evra has run into serious trouble with the law in his homeland.
According to Le Parisien, the criminal court of Hauts-de-Seine found the former defender of the French national team and Manchester United in guilty of evading child support in the amount of almost a million euros and sentenced Evra to a year in prison with a two-year suspended sentence.
Also, the former footballer will be obliged to pay two thousand euros in procedural costs and four thousand euros to his wife as moral compensation.
Evra himself rejects all rejections, stating that he left his wife a flat and a house, as well as lent her the sum of two million euros, which she refuses to return. The lawyers of the former footballer have already filed an appeal against this court decision.
Recall that since 2020 the couple from Sandra and Patrice Evra stay in the divorce process, which is not over until now. In July of the same year, British tabloids published a photo of Evra with Danish model Margot Alexandra.
