Barcelona made an active push last summer to bring back Real Betis' Moroccan winger Abde Ezzalzouli, whose playing ability has personally attracted the interest of the Blaugrana head coach, Hansi Flick.

Details: According to football insider Ekrem Konur, the German coach sees the 24-year-old African as an excellent option to strengthen the attacking line thanks to his explosive pace and unpredictable dribbling. The Catalan club's management entered official negotiations with the Seville side during the most recent transfer window, but the deal collapsed due to disagreements over the payment structure and the financial terms of the agreement.

Betis chiefs refused to let their starting winger leave without adequate compensation, while La Liga's strict salary-cap restrictions prevented the Catalan club from raising its offer. Despite the setback during the summer, Barcelona continue to closely monitor the forward's progress, leaving open the possibility of returning to the negotiating table if the transfer conditions change.

It is worth noting that Abde Ezzalzouli joined the green-and-whites in the summer of 2023 from Osasuna for €7.5 million, with Barcelona retaining 50% of the rights to any future sale of the player. During his time in Seville, the Moroccan has become one of the most exciting dribblers in Spanish football, regularly contributing to the team's results with goal involvements.
