A dream that cost her a job. Woman from Venezuela fired after filming video with Messi
A resident of Ecuador named Yumara recorded a video with Lionel Messi to fulfill the dream of her friend, a huge fan of the Argentine star. It was a wonderful gesture… but it came at an unexpected price: she lost her job.
Details: The woman ran into Messi by chance and decided to film a short greeting for her close friend—a longtime fan of the Argentine. However, this act of kindness backfired: her employer claimed she shouldn’t have filmed the video and terminated her contract.
On her Instagram page, the former employee shared her story and received thousands of supportive comments from around the world.
“I fulfilled my friend’s dream: Lionel Messi sent him a greeting. Unfortunately, this video cost me my job. But God’s timing is perfect—something better awaits ahead,” she wrote.
Soon, Messi is set to play an MLS playoff match against Cincinnati. The game is scheduled for Sunday, November 23 at 23:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Democrats posted a video featuring Messi in response to Donald Trump sharing a clip with Ronaldo.
