A double in 10 minutes! Ferran Torres saves PSG from defeat in debut match
Ferran Torres put on a true show in his debut match for PSG. The Spanish striker came off the bench after halftime in the Ligue 1 opening round clash against Rennes and helped the Parisians avoid defeat.
When Torres entered the pitch, PSG were trailing 0-2. But the new forward wasted no time adapting to his new environment and, by the 71st minute, had already reduced the deficit. Torres coolly seized his chance, slotting the ball into the net and reigniting his team's hopes of a comeback.
And just 10 minutes later, the Spaniard struck again! In the 83rd minute, Torres was once more in the right place at the right time, firing home to level the score—2-2.
Thus, the 26-year-old forward became the main hero of PSG's incredible comeback. The Parisians were on the brink of defeat, but two goals from Torres in just ten minutes secured a crucial point in Rennes.
This was the Spaniard's first official appearance in a PSG shirt after his transfer from Barcelona. And what a debut it was: Torres played only the second half, but managed to find the net twice, single-handedly rescuing his new team from defeat.
