Ten dazzling years of Son Heung-min's career at Tottenham brought unforgettable emotions and a coveted European trophy to the club’s fans.

Details: Before the kickoff of yesterday’s Champions League matchday 6 fixture between Tottenham and Prague’s Slavia at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, legendary South Korean and former Tottenham captain Son Heung-min stepped onto the pitch.

This time, however, Son appeared not as a player but as a guest, coming out to thank the supporters for their years of loyalty and to say goodbye, as he is now a Los Angeles FC player.

To mark the occasion, Tottenham created a special award — a golden Spurs badge — which was ceremoniously presented to Son in front of the crowd, accompanied by a video montage of his greatest moments in a Tottenham shirt.

“I hope you won’t forget me. These were amazing 10 years, incredible 10 years, and I just want to say thank you.”

“I will always be ‘Tottenham’, I will always be with you, and this will always be my home. I will never forget you.

Please stay with me, come visit in Los Angeles, and I hope we’ll see each other often. I love you all.

Come on, Tottenham!” Son said in his final address to the Spurs faithful.

Son spent 10 years at Tottenham, having joined the club in the summer of 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen for €30 million. He played 454 games for Spurs, scoring 173 goals and providing 101 assists. With the North Londoners, Son also lifted the UEFA Europa League Cup — his first European trophy.

In the summer of 2025, the South Korean midfielder moved to MLS side Los Angeles FC in a €22 million transfer.
