"A decision will be made at the end of March or April." - Manuel Neuer reveals if he will extend his contract with Bayern
Neuer is in no rush to make a decision.
Details: The 39-year-old legendary Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer recently opened up in an interview about his football future and the possibility of extending his contract with Bayern.
At the moment, Neuer has not made a final decision regarding a new deal with Bayern, choosing not to rush things prematurely:
"I’m leaning towards it positively. But for now, I want to wait and see how the next few months go. I want to try to deliver strong performances. Then, at the end of March or April, a decision will be made. By then, I’ll know how many games I’ve played and how my body feels. I’ll also be turning 40, so I need to see if I can continue my career with full confidence. Communication with the club is going very well — we’ll see if that continues or not," Neuer stated.
Manuel Neuer joined Bayern back in 2011 from Schalke for €30 million. Since then, he has made 581 appearances for Bayern, conceding 480 goals and keeping 271 clean sheets.
Neuer’s current contract with Bayern runs until the summer of 2026, but talks over an extension are currently on hold.
