A comeback? Juventus offered an experienced goalkeeper

Experienced Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Neto has been offered to Juventus as a free agent.

Details: According to renowned Italian insider Nicolò Schira, the 37-year-old goalkeeper’s representatives approached the Turin club’s management with a proposal to sign him. The Old Lady is currently assessing whether a short-term deal with the player would be worthwhile to bolster its goalkeeping department and provide reliable squad depth.

Juventus turned to the free-agent market on an emergency basis after the team’s second-choice goalkeeper, Kamil Grabara, suffered an injury in training and is expected to be sidelined for at least six months.

For Neto, a potential move could mark a return to Turin—the Brazilian previously represented the Bianconeri from 2015 to 2017 as Gianluigi Buffon’s understudy, before going on to play for Valencia, Barcelona and Bournemouth. The parties are currently holding preliminary discussions, while the final decision rests with Juventus’ sporting management.
